Do you remember a situation where your realized that you understood something because you used it to see the world differently or solve a problem?
That’s what happens in the Concretize phase. The students apply their knowledge. This phase serves as a bridge between knowledge and its real-world application.
When students concretise their learning, they create something. It might be a presentation, a podcast, a model or even a role play.
In this work, students become creators, problem-solvers and innovators, by working on ideas, planning their projects and building something from scratch. And as they do, they often spot gaps in their understanding. Which motivates them to go back, ask questions and improve.
And often, students circle between to Deepen or Reflect phases as part of the learning process.
